Vacation, the filler day…

Okay, glad we came back Saturday, because Sunday was not a restful day. It was busy. We ended vacation the same way as we started it. We went to the mall to have pics with Santa. This time it was only a 90 minute wait total, not nearly as bad. We got the pics done by about 1:10, had lunch and then went to Ikea. That was fun, time consuming, nerve racking, and extremely stressful. We were there for about 2.5 hours or so, and left at about 4:45. Debbi had to be a church by 5:30 and we had to get home first. We have been looking for furniture for the play room or game room as I call it. Well, we did end up buying some stuff, not sure if it will work or not. We bought two sofas (that convert into beds) for $129 each and two little ottoman stool type things for $20, I think. We also bought a rug and two bathroom stools for the kids. Total cost was below the $500 pay it off in twelve months deal. We charged it. Not sure if it will stay or not. We have saved the packaging just in case.As for the rest of the trip, it was great. It was just a two full day there trip, so it was pretty short. So short that I did not have the chance to watch any of the shows that Jon burned onto a disk for me. I will watch the shows, and having them on a disk is better. We went by Hebert’s to pick up some good Cajun food and then headed home. We did stop by and see Santaland on the way home. They are near Tyler just off of I-20. It had a tremendous line to get in, but traffic moved well. Better than the tollway. It was really neat, and much better than I thought. Their website is a little cheesey and even has a couple of busted links, so I was not thinking it would be much. It was really good and worth the drive tru fee. Now the arboretum in Eureka Springs was much better, but this was still nice. We all loved it, and topped it off with a not too pleasant meal at Wendy’s afterwords.

We made it home and got the kids in bed by 11:00 or so, and us in bed by 11:30. We slept in till about 8:30 and started this busy day. That is it for now. May put some pics up if we decide to keep the furniture.
