November was NaBloPoMo, and although I did not register, I did post each day. February is not. Neither is January. In fact, if I had waited a couple of more days, it would be a month between posts. I need to be a better blogger. There are even things about this blog that I would like to update, modify, etc. That will have to wait.
Well, work is going well, just busy. The first three weeks of January were 60 hour weeks with a sleepless night aboard an aircraft carrier in the middle of that. I think you can manage to read the post just two down from this one. If not, please just turn off the computer. This is just to difficult for you. What else is going on? TV is back. Heroes is back, Lost is back, The Unit is back, Survivor is back. BSG is back. The only thing not back is Jerico. That’ll start up soon, I think. So yeah, I have TV to watch. Probably should be doing something more constructive, like blogging.
We started to teach Trey to ride a two wheeler. I want to have some father/son bonding time with this. It would be easier and quicker just to throw him out the door with the bike and say, “Don’t come home until you learn.” I bet his friends could teach him quicker than me. We will have bonding time after he learns to ride. I am looking forward to that. The next major project is to build the playfort. It was delivered about two weeks ago and is sitting in the garage in nine boxes. I like building things, so that should be fun. Just have to block out the time, which will most likely be after basketball.
I met with my financial advisor last week, and fired him. My new financial advisor is me. I have decided to go the Scott Burns route and use no-load funds in the Couch Potato format. I have to figure out exactly what funds to use, but better than paying the guy 6% for funds he gets kickbacks on, rather than the best ones. I guess that is the conspiracy theorist in me coming out. I really did not want to get hooked up into making money, but it is a neccesary route of all evil.
JJ Abrams has created the first pass screenplay for the new Star Trek film. It is rumored to be a when Kirk meets Spock movie. That does not thrill me, but I will support Star Trek when I can. I will be released in 2008 along with Indiana Jones XVIIILCMIIX, Speed Racer, Iron Man, and CofN: Prince Caspian. I have not checked out the cast for it, but I always thought Charlie Sheen would make a good Speed Racer. Hollywood never listens to me though. Just checked. They don’t listen. It is reportedly Vince Vaughn? Ugh! Speaking of Hollywood, Anna Nichole Smith has tragically died leaving her five month old daughter behind. We need to get back to the lighter news of diaper wearing austronuts traveling 900 miles with a steel mallet, knife, and a BB gun while wearing a trench coat. Who is she trying to kill? MacGyver? What a truly odd story.
In other news: A Jewish author (holocaust survivor who has been asked to become the President of Isreal) was attacked in San Fansisco by some nut ball who claims the holocaust did not exist. How did Homeland Security let the President of Iran in San Fansisco anyway? Iran claims that it will show the world its’ nuclear power on February 11th. I hope they do not disrupt my church while I am worshipping JESUS!! Just bring the end times on baby! I am ready! I probably know more about enriching uranium than him. I even did a report on fusion reactors in the ninth grade some 26 years ago. My 26 year old, curvy, red head science teacher just smiled. She did not have a clue.
What else? Oh yeah, Al Gore has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his movie on global warmin. New York is buried under about 10 feet of snow right now. Denver was last month. How long have we been taking accurate measurements of the temperture outside? 200 years max. Scientists also know that the Earth has cycles. They even know that the poles reverse every 12,000 years or so. How can they be sure man is at fault? 30 years ago we were afraid of the next ice age! Sorry guys don’t belive ya. Al Gore was also nominated for an Acadamy Award as well. It is rumored that her will announce his candidacy for POTUS at the awards. I hope so. I would like to see him loose again. Anybody have the faintest idea what gloabl warming has to do with peace anyway? Well, Yessir Imarat won the peace prize, so you know who we are dealing with.
