Idol Prediction: Drumroll, Please

We have suffered through the torturous audition rounds…

We have endured the drama of Hollywood week…

The final 24 have made their Idol debuts…

And, in an unprecedented move, I will now predict the final 12:

Guys:

A.J.  (I don’t particularly like him, but I think he will appeal to the women, who will vote early, and often, for him)

Jared (easy on the eyes, can forgive a few missed notes here and there)

Brandon (a real showman with a fantastic smile)

Blake (a man of many talents, with an endearing personality, and my goodness, he had me at the beat-boxing!!!)

Rudy (a long shot to win, but he was the only one who really “brought game” and tried to make it a show)

Chris (again, not my favorite, I thought his rendition of Lenny Kravitz was like Alvin the Chipmunk on steroids, and the Justin Timberlake comparisons will grow old quickly – but he has the charm and the persona to make it work…and he has teenybopper appeal)

Girls:

Stephanie (she got it GOING last night! Wow!!)

Jordin (what a voice, what a presence for only 17)

Sabrina (she ROCKED it out!!)

Melinda (my dark horse, Love her story, will be rooting for her all the way)

LaKeisha (what can I say, passion, drive, determination, and a great voice)

Gina (didn’t particularly care for her song, but she’s versatile, and I think she appeals to a broad audience)

I will be sad to see Haley go, I like her voice, but she’s not as strong as those other ladies.

Tonight’s offies:  Sanjaya, Sundance, Antonella, & Amy.

We’ll see how I do.

Debily out.

  1. Sadly, I think one of your six won’t make it, and someone we loathe will be in the top twelve, because VoteForTheWorst.com will be able to manipulate the totals while the field is still wide. They’ll trumpet that Shandlyar and Antonella are still in competition when every objective measure pegs their totally suckiness. The good news is that as the field narrow (when it gets down to around 5-6) the VFTW effect will become negligible.
