Happy Birthday, Matt (cha-cha-cha)

Well, the fam’s all in town – Dan arrived at our house yesterday afternoon and David & Chris arrived at Mom’s last night – so we all converged on Pappasito’s for lunch to celebrate Matt’s birthday a week early while we’re all together. Great meal – GREAT guacamole (made tableside with all kinds of yummy stuff inside it) – but the best part was the dancing. Yup, you heard me right. There was DANCING. Table Dancing no less. Matt, of all people, table dancing in front of our children. Oh, the humanity!

We had told them that it was Matt’s birthday. At the end of the meal, we ordered dessert, and I warned Matt not to order anything. So, the next thing I know, all the servers arrive carrying a BIG sombrero – a big PURPLE sombrero – which Matt has to wear. He is then instructed to hold the salt and pepper in his hands. And then he is told he has to “shake everything EXCEPT the salt and pepper.” (pause to allow readers to construct their own very frightening mental images)

So he did.

And here he is:

Matt

  1. I can’t see!!!!! the mind-image has made me blind. It is a good thing my keyboard has the little braille thingies or I couldn’t type this note…

  2. Oh you look Fabuuuulous, in PURPLE! You should wear that all the time! (as said in a Bruce-y sort of way) (pssstt, except I think you spilled a little more than salt! )
