Life, laptops, and the pursuit of upsets….

Well last night was a good time.  RC and SB came over and we had a fun time.  RC is a much better griller than me, so I am learning the Jedi ways of grilling from the master.  The chops did turn out well.  I just supplied the grill, RC supplied his Jedi knowledge.  The Aggie game was a nailbiter that turned out in “Zero U’s” favor.  The final score was 17-16.  The Aggies had some extrelemly poor play calling.  I am not a rocket scientist, and I could even would have called different plays.

The one bright spot was that I signed up for AT&T DSL yesturday.  The modem should arrive on the 9th, but why.  I had the laptop on and found an unsecure wireless network in the area.  Thanks neighbor!  RC and I both did some surfing on someone elses network.  What fun.  Reminds me of the time, as a kid, when I would look through the trash at SMU and get login information and play a Star Trek text games on SMU’s mainframe.  That is about as brazen as I got.  I also found out that a guy, at church, has a wireless b router that he is no longer using and offered it to me.  Beggers can not be chooses.  I’ll use the b until I buy another g router.  The bottleneck will still be the DSL line at least.
