Oh, goodness, what a day. And here I thought that since I wasn’t doing children’s church I would actually get a Sunday morning off. Silly me. Today is Upward evaluations, and since I was out of the office this Friday, that meant that the items that needed to be collected ahead of time didn’t. So, I spent church time trying to make sure that we had what we needed. That meant running to the dreaded Stuff Mart for cookies, stopwatches, and whistles. Then back to church for evaluations between 1:30-5:00. We had lots of kids come – some new high schoolers, which is good, because we need more highschoolers – and everyone seems so excited. Then off to an MDO committee meeting, followed by children’s choir, and then the youth musical. Thankfully that’s the one thing I’m NOT involved with-just going as a spectator – but it means I’m here at church from 9:30 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. straight. Yikes.
And then life begins anew next week, with piano students, children’s activities, laundry, house cleaning, grocery shopping… oh calgon, take me away!!
