Well, we found out yesterday on our way out of town that the Rangers have lost Gary Matthews Jr. to free agency to – of all teams – the ANGELS. Yes, those persnickety Los Angeles, California Angels of Anaheim in California. This is a tremendous loss for the Rangers. GMJ was a consistent hitter, a good center fielder, and a solid lead-off man. A few more moves like this one and I may not be a Rangers fan much longer.
